Imitanis Gaming Moment
This week I played another round of Risk: Legacy. I’m still enjoying the evolution of the game, even if it’s still as swingy (you can win or loose massively) as vanilla Risk. in the last game we played I got a good foothold in holding all of Europe but never got a chance to do anything with it. This time I tried that again, but couldn’t get the numbers to defend all of my borders. It looked like I wasn’t going to be able to win, so I decided to play Kingmaker (a player who doesn’t win, but whose actions are crucial to deciding the winner). Two of the three other players had already won a game, and I had an alliance with the third so I made a point to cripple the first two. I took away their continent bonuses (Africa and South America) and scattered them as much as possible. It turned out that after breaking them up I was able to take the HQs of both of those players and win the game. I named a city and added it to the board (Metroplex in Madagascar) where only I can start, and signed the board. I also got some nice work done on a game that I’ve been designing, but I won’t say much about that until there’s more to say.

I drove an hour to pick up something on Sunday and made the mistake of trying to get a pizza for dinner right when everyone was slamming the place for their sportsball parties. It took almost 90 minutes to get a personal sized two topping pizza for dine-in. Bah.

Plenty of ordinary people cannot tell the difference between buying a code on UPlay as opposed to some other site. They go to google and type “Buy X” into it, and then go to the first thing that comes up.
