Don’t think I don’t know what’s going on with that BUP Talk. ;)

I enjoyed listening to the reasoning behind the introduction of the reviews (and was surprised when I learned it sprung up out of my irritation with Aniplex’s bullshit pricing). More importantly, I enjoyed the insight on why review scores fall into a pattern that echo school gradings. That never would have occurred to me otherwise, and it -does- make sense.
Re: Kill la Kill. This show is not going to adhere to whatever expectations you have for it. It’s aware that it’s a cartoon and it’s going to play on that. The animation quality will bounce all over the place, but it will never fail to be entertaining. It also has one of the best dubs I’ve ever heard. But that price (and Aniplex) can go to hell.
After listening to this episode I found myself wondering what my criteria for a good anime is. By and large, I believe that anime is largely either of bad quality or average quality, with some real gems pushing the whole industry forwards (I guess you could look at gaming in the same fashion).
What separates the average from the quality differs from person to person and depends on what tropes/concepts/ideas/fetishes/themes the individual viewer resonates with. Of course, there are those quality shows that truly shine and hold universal appeal on the merits of just being sincerely good. But those are the exception, not the rule.
Re: Nintendo. What more can be said? They’re the gift that keeps on giving for those of us who enjoy watching their increasingly frustrating/amusing antics.
Great show guys. Look forward to the upcoming anime posts, as well as the scored game reviews.

I’m all for the grading review system. The way Lusipurr explained it was very clear and very well said.

I want to share this gift for all to see: a room of tidus and yunas… in real life :

I believe that Lusipurr.com is the gift that keeps on giving Lusipurr (and the staff) more work to do . This site is great and I am very grateful.
@Lusipurr – Is not D:, Is HO HO HA HA HA, followed with some clapping.

Ah, Blue Dragon, who can forget the year that game was released? Is the same year Oliver Motok was born! and there was a time when he and Ethos were ( according to them) Defenders of the tales games! ( but that was during the catfancy time line, before lusipurr.com was born) good times, good times .
Indeed laughter yoga is dumb, that is why describing that as a room of Tidus and Yunas is accurate .

-Covering Anime
I’ll have more comments on this change once I see any coverage of it. It would have been nice to launch the change with an article about it. I haven’t seriously watched any anime in years (aside from a brief stint watching Madoka Magicka) and I’d be interested in hearing a bit about it beside the normal stuff.-Scores
hmm. I guess this could be interesting.-New Tag Line / Banner
I guess the new tag is descriptive but I prefer the old picture. I don’t really like the dour Lestat-looking guy who now occupies the banner.Feature

Aniplex prices/piracy
I would think that Aniplex wouldn’t be able to sustain that kind of pricing model. Are the shows that they have the rights to so good that people will pay for it?Nintendo Conference Call / Nintendo bad E3
If partners means retailers then it really IS important that they liked Nintendo’s stuff and are willing to buy it to sell and market.
Virtual Console whining
It might actually be worthwhile to pull devs over to VC (if it really does require that) so that Nintendo could leverage one of its greatest strengths: its amazing back catalog.Nintendo Early Access
I don’t get why any company would want to do this. Demos and Early Access are awesome for consumers but basically outright awful for companies.Digital/physical Pricing at Nintendo
This is one of those cases where Nintendo would be better just not saying anything. Come to think of it, that’s most of the time lately.NX not aiming to compete with PS4 on Hardware
This strategy will only work if Nintendo can attract developers to make enough games to keep their system going. That has yet to ever be the case.Bup Talk

Bup sounds different this week.Imitanis Gaming Moment
@Lusi: (RE:PoR) Can’t you buy those items back from the in-game store? I thought that the merchant just kept anything that you sold to him.I honestly can’t think of any games that I played this week. I have been busy attempting to keep my lawn and hydrangeas alive in the unseasonably warm weather, cleaning out plugged dryer ducts and working extra hours. Sorry!
DiceAdmiral Travel Moment
I traveled to various Barnes & Nobles in the local area to hit up their Red Dot Clearance looking for board games. I found a copy of Krosmaster Arena and a few extra hero packs for it.Final Notes
Back to the old intro music? I can’t keep track of the podcast format changes.Fixing link text: I believe that the problem I found was in one of your CSS files but I’d have to look again. I wish I did remember because it is damn annoying for the links to be hidden.

I didn’t see the Lestat banner, but the Cait Sith banner is just so iconic and appropriate for the site.

But lestat is blonde, with the black hair the pic gives me a spike character ( from buffy) kinda vibe (from the form of the face in the pic) .

It’s a shame that you guys already recorded. I’ll have to wait a week to hear you cover the passing of Satoru Iwata.
