Some things this podcast does NOT contain:

    – Lusipurr laughing at Imitanis as Imitanis pulls hundreds of monsters in Ulduar.

    – Lusipurr making to Imitanis an impassioned defence of challenging and sublime works.

    – Lusipurr being confused out of 5,000+ gold and over an hour of time by Imitanis.

That was a really great show as usual. Thank you! The jokes between Bup and Lusipurr were quite good. My favorite part is always the opinions on the news. I hope to see this site and podcast proceed far into the future.

I didn’t listen to any of this podcast yet, but I’m assuming I was really hilarious in this episode.

Far more entertaining than I was, I’m sure.

Anyway my name is “Pandora’s Tower.”

Random comments in no particular order:

This chapter of Interview was even better than the last. It’s well past time I tried that series again.

The Denis segment was hilarity and most unexpected. Kudos for that random comedy gold!

I really enjoy listening to you lot discuss the news. Being from the same generation and age range, I find that the sentiments often reflect my own, as we’ve all watched the industry evolve from it’s early days.

That Lusi even knew Tim Allen astounds me. I really am glad that era is over.

Kudos to you, Imitanis for jumping right to Tintin when you heard ‘boy and dog’. Precisely where my mind went.

Bup’s “Destiny” is the best off the cuff response to a question ever.

Equivalent exchange leads me to believe Lusi may have watched Fullmetal Alchemist. I know from previous shows that you do watch anime sometimes, and if so in this case, I applaud your tastes.

    @Wolfe:

“This chapter of Interview was even better than the last. It’s well past time I tried that series again.”
I advise caution. Some of the books are excellent or very good (The Vampire Lestat and The Vampire Armand, for example). But, there are others which are just trash (The Tale of the Body Thief springs to mind). Rice’s writing is very hit-or-miss, depending (I suspect) on the power and wisdom of her editor.

“That Lusi even knew Tim Allen astounds me. I really am glad that era is over.”
My family sat down and watched every episode of Home Improvement as it aired. They were all very big on watching television.

LOL. I was right there with you! Every week after Boy Scouts there was Home Improvement and then Boy Meets world (after a time it was Dean Cain’s Superman).

Man, that’s by-gone era. We watched a lot of the Simpsons together, and yeah Home Improvement among others.

I’m not that interested in a port. I’ll just get around to it on Wii sometime.

New 3DS XL: Feb 13th comes without power adapter
This is really lame. I still have all of my old consoles (except the original white GBA which I sold when I got the SP) so, the power thing won’t be a problem, but it shouldn’t have to be. They’re basically pricing the thing $10 more than they’re saying and trying to slip it past everyone.

    New Fire Emblem
STOKED. I love Fire Emblem and the Japanese look of the trailer has be interested. The Euro-Fantasy thing can get a bit old sometimes.

    New Amiibos
I might get Charizard just because and maybe Toad because Toad is awesome. The rest I’ll pass on, as I’m not into the whole Amiibo thing.

    Mario Party X
This is still a thing? I haven’t played one since 2 or 3. I bet that the Wii U gamepad adds some interesting variety to the minigames though.

    yawn.

    Nintendo Crossbuy: Mario vs DK
If this stops here, then that sucks, but if they continue to do cross-buy then I’d be excited.

I called it last week. I knew Lestat wasn’t dead. He probably still isn’t.

    Imitanis Gaming Moment
This week I played the Firefly Board game again, this time with both of the expansions. I won’t explain the core game again as that can be read HERE The first expansion adds two new ships(one small fast one with low cargo and crew space, and one large slow one with huge cargo space) and the ability to board other ships in piracy missions. The second one added a new segment to the board and a few new planets to visit.

The story (goal) that we played was that one of our friends had been arrested by the alliance and we had to board the alliance carrier and break them out. The first person to do so, cover their tracks, and get to the edge of space won. Of the four players, two of us managed to rescue the captive. I was first, but didn’t have the resources to cover my tracks. The second player completed his rescue right after me, and did have the resources to cover his tracks and head for the win. So, I boarded his ship, stole all of his fuel and cargo, and sold it to the guy who’d just cleared that player’s tracks. I used the cash to get myself clear and then jetted off to the end. (I was using the small fast ship). It was a close game and probably the most fun I’ve had playing that game. I think this is mostly due to the fact that I had a very clear idea of what I needed to do and where I should go to do it. Meandering around the board is fun in Firefly, but it’s also one of the best ways to lose. You can be running cargo around all of charted space having a grand old time and make absolutely no progress towards the goals.

I think the first expansion (Pirates & Bounty Hunters) is probably a must for people who like the game as it offers very little player interaction otherwise and basically no way to hurt someone who’s taking the lead (which is how I won). The second expansion (Blue Sun) did not impact our game much aside from the one or two cards that one player got from one of the new locations. Perhaps some of the new story cards from that expansion force players into the new area and make the new board a bit more useful. It’s just a very dangerous (full of Reavers) place to go if you don’t have to.

It’s still not my favorite game as it’s a bit too lucky (one player quit early because she’d rolled so terribly that she’d never be able to win), but it can be an enjoyable game, especially if you’re a fan of the show (which I only saw when it aired and never since).

    DiceAdmiral Travel Moment
I drove 25 minutes one way to get to the one good Mexican food place that was open after 9pm on Wednesday. Does that count?

    @DiceAdmiral:

    “Overload? Overbite? Outland?”
Is Overbite the racing game for Genesis?

“I might get Charizard just because and maybe Toad because Toad is awesome. The rest I’ll pass on, as I’m not into the whole Amiibo thing.”
You have foreseen a future question which the podcast panel will ask…

“If this stops here, then that sucks, but if they continue to do cross-buy then I’d be excited.”
Sadly, I will be very surprised if Nintendo sticks with it. They don’t stick with anything.

    “Customer Testimonial? WTF?”
    I was surprised, too!

“I drove 25 minutes one way to get to the one good Mexican food place that was open after 9pm on Wednesday. Does that count?”
Absolutely it counts. But if it gave you the shits, you lose all your credits.

    “DiceAdmiral is #1.”
    We’ll see . . .
