Nate ‘Bup’ Liles bids the site a fond adieu, replete with farts on a scale never-before-heard. The rest of the panel assembles to bid him well, including special guests Ginia and Reetin. Now I can finally have a proper website again. Ha ha! HA HA! HAHAHA!

I *really* need to put the “TELL YOUR FRIENDS” appeal on every podcast from now on. I will try and remember.

In the meantime, TELL YOUR FRIENDS.

On second thought, wait a week, then tell your friends.

“And then he sucks like 10 dicks.”

Lusipurr, you did quite a good job turning the podcast into a listenable show! It wasn’t nearly as bad as I remember it being while recording.

    “YAY!”

Fart Piano…I’m more scared that people came up with it than the fact that Nate downloaded it.

I was in this! All you have to do is DONATE to the site and you could be entered in a chance to talk to Nate “Bup” Liles! I promise you it was just as bad if not worse than you can imagine it being.

I’m beginning to think that Bup doesn’t so much exist in person form as in fart app form. If there’s a Fart Piano, it stands to reason there’s a Fart Buddy. Bup is that buddy.

He never did let me tell him what I was wearing.

    Not once.

    Cruel fates.

@Riddles: Beyond this world, there is a better place; a place where you will always be allowed to relate exactly what you are wearing in the minutest detail; a place of endless phone calls, a place of endless requests to hear about your apparel. And one day, you will go to that place. I will be the one to send you there.

    - I have a friend who works at Volition, and apparently as a thank you for building Saint’s Row 3 on top of Steam Works (which I THINK is public knowledge at this point….. hopefully), Valve gave every Volition employee a key for all valve games on steam, including games not yet released, so he got Portal 2 for free, he just had to download it. I kind of want to work there now :F.

    - My friend and I were talking at work today and we were saying if PSN has went down pretty much any other week, we would have been uneffected, but since it was the week Portal 2 came out, it’s kept him from downloading his PC copy and means we can’t play co-op with each other.

    - As much as I don’t really care about WoW, it is cool they’re adding cross-platform chat. I hope more games go in this direction. I figure if it becomes a trend, it’s only a matter of time before I can do TF2 trades on my phone! Then we’ll have truly reached the technological nirvana :D.

    - I finished up Portal 2 yesterday and I’m glad they were able to hold the writing up to the high standard set by Portal 1. Cave Johnson was fantastic, and I’d love to have a Portal spinoff revolving around his career progression from shower curtain salesman to head of Aperture Science.

    - The only parts I got stuck on in Portal 2 were, ironically enough, when you had to move between test chambers in the second half of the game. All too often, those sections seemed like a game of “find the portalable surface” rather than the puzzles that the test chambers were.

    - For the PS3 version of Portal, they did send a code, but you can’t activate the code until you’ve linked your Steam account with a PSN account. If there wasn’t a code, I’d be able to lend my friend my PS3 disc for 5 minutes, have him link his account, then go download the PC version, you know? The setup they’ve got is a bit convoluted and had HORRIBLE timing with the PSN outage, but it’s really the only way they could have done without having it be easily exploited.

    - From what they were saying, the PC and PS3 Portal savegames aren’t cross compatible, so you can’t pick up your game on the PS3 where you left off on the PC, I don’t believe. This is the only aspect of the Steam integration I’m a little disappointed with, since they obviously have the technology and ability to put PS3 save games on Steam cloud, and the format for save files is completely under their control at that point, so I don’t really get why they wouldn’t just put them in one universal “saves” category. Oh well, maybe it has something to do with potential future DLC or something. Hopefully some future game will do cross compatible saves, since that’s a feature I’ve been looking for in my games for years.

Perhaps I’m weird. (Perhaps?) But, I’ve been playing Portal 2 today. I’m about halfway through from what I can tell and I’m wondering if anyone else who’s afraid of heights IRL gets that playing Portal 2? I’ve heard of people getting motion sickness from FPS, which doesn’t happen to me, so I’m a curious about this. Or maybe the game’s so awesome it actually makes me fear of falling to my death from great heights and I should look into those safe falling boots?

@EP: o.O I’ve never heard of anyone having acrophobia caused by a video game. Maybe you should hire J. Bruce Thompson to help your case along!

    Hey Evilpaul, are you the person who made the Cait-Sith 3D Dot Game Heroes avatar for me? If so, can I get it again? I’m playing through that game again, and I lost my copy of the avatar. ;.;
