As much as I want an FFVII remake, I am worried about possible changes that would be made beyond adding Genesis into the story.

I have heard several people express an interest in picking up an XBone due to the upcoming backwards compatibility feature. This could be a good thing for those saddled with the system already, but I don’t see how it can be a system selling feature to anybody. I don’t have enough interest in the 360 library for this to be of any personal interest to me.

Seeing Platinum Games involved with Starfox development was somewhat surprising though. They’re quite the busy developer these days. And I’m always ok with more Fire Emblem.

As for the FF7 remake, it’s a weird blend of anticipation and apprehension for me. Though I will likely always prefer the SNES titles, FF7 is still a great game, and I have doubts about present day SE’s ability to pull this off effectively. Hopefully those doubts are dashed come 2017….or 2018, 19, or whenever this actually does release.

Glad to see Wada gone. Seriously, let the door hit you on the way out asshole. Here’s hoping the Square I grew up with returns. And brings Dragon Quest back with it. And though I know it’s not a popular sentiment here, I was heartened to see the new Star Ocean as well as the follow up to Nier and what appears to be an attempt to recapture the oldschool JRPG genre with Setsuna.
