Valve’s new refund policy should be the standard for digital content. It gives buyers confidence that they won’t be wasting their money and challenges developers to produce quality content rather than flashy trailers, screenshots, and descriptions.

As for the SocJu indie devs, we should have expected this reaction. Many of their games are made only to show the world that women/gays/Caitlyn Jenner can develop video games. Fun and quality are distant thoughts during development, something that anyone who has played Brianna Wu’s Revolution 60 can attest to.

These refunds are probably the best solution to the giant pile of shit (steamy is an appropriate description) on Greenlight and elsewhere. Although, it should be a reasonable expectation even were those things not a giant problem.

F-Zero, StarFox, Super Mario World, Final Fantasy VI, Super Metroid, The Legenda of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Hyperzone, Super Mario Kart, Super Castlevania IV, Mega Man X…

Back then, no one had ruined the core franchises yet. Things were getting better and better. My friends and I used to dream about what Final Fantasy or Castlevania would be like in the future.

Now, we dread it.

Some sjw must believe fun is an unhealthy expectation too, having in mind how developers of the sjw kind make their games that seems to be the case.

I am all for a new snes era with more games like earthbound, mario kart and starfox.

I am getting so much quality shadenfreude from watching indy developers going to pieces on Twitter and telling their customers to fuck off!

They’ve only themselves to blame for releasing a ton of games like the ones that Bup reviews on a weekly basis.
