I have only played super boring opening tutorial of Inquisition, but the worldview feels quite a bit too contemporary for the setting.

Perhaps the ultimate way to approach it. And I agree about the online. Just played it at a friends house and had a few bad matches, but even 2v2 was going strong for long stretches. Just seems spotty overall.

@Lusi – Well I’m enjoying it in this incarnation for sure, but at the time, it almost turned me off the series. Silver and Yellow are likely two of my most played games ever by playtime, but something about Sapphire didn’t light that same Pokémon fire for me, despite liking the actual monster designs far more overall compared to Gen II.

So true about Zelda. TP and SS have so many wonderful elements (the latter more than the former), but I cannot wait for motion controls to be out of the series. Wind Waker HD just highlighted this fact for me. I was talking with a friend today who was excitedly talking about how he hopes the game extensively uses the gamepad for motion controls. We did not share this excitement. Even if that is that case, I expect it to be optional, like with Wind Waker

The lag isn’t so bad, in fact with some exception it’s not a problem. And I’d notice. Playing Melee on a CRT has made me a lag snob over the years.

As for Actual Dragon Age, I’d consider it a fun but slow burn. A massive world and a lot of fun lore to absorb. I intend to take my time with this game, since I already know it’ll be a long haul.

I’ve become pretty decent with him and am, so far, unbeaten online–a fact I put down to how bad the latency must be for other people, and how bad other people are at Dragon Age.

PKMN Sapphire was the PKMN game that got me back into PKMN after Red/Blue. I did not care for any of the intervening gams, but Sapphire changed everything. In fact, I liked it so much that we used a remix of the Team Aqua/Magma theme for the Megaphones Ahoy! Podcast. I’ve seriously considered bringing that back.

I am also excited about the Wii U Legend of Zelda because it will likely be the first Zelda game since the Gamecube which is free of onerous gimmicks. Hey-ho, off we go.

Ethos, tell me what you think in the comments!
