News: Sta-TIT-stics!

WHY?!?!In addition to raping our eyes with bright magenta, the most recent e-mail by Atlus turned out to be a rebuttal of their previous statement that Catherine would not be making it outside of Japan. Within days of the initial TwitterTwat, anyone signed up for their newsletter was asked, ‘Do you still like us?’ Presumably, they were trying to be cheeky and girly, flirtatious in their advertising attempts, as if the barrage of boob shots had not grabbed our attention already. But with how blunt and uncaring they were in their complete dismissal of a North American release, why is it that all it takes is a few cute words to make us love them again? Sure, we are happy that it now has a U.S. release date of July 26th, but what is it exactly that femininity does to nerds to make this flip-flop excusable? And why have I never used 2ch’s surveys before? Answers to all of these follow!

First, there’s the matter of how much female attention any gamers get to begin with. In a recent survey done by MSN Japan on 20-year-old Japanese adults, it was found that over three-fourths of the population had no partner. The study has been done annually since 1997, when only half Japanese adults were single. In the past thirteen years, nerds have become even more reclusive than before! Even stranger than this is the numbers of men that just plain are not interested. The Japanese Ministry of Health found that a third of men between 16 and 19 either hated sex or just were not interested in it. Of married couples, 40% were described as having “sexless” relationships.

Second, there is a matter that nerdy men do not seem to understand women either. In a survey about how to talk to women, the results of what not to say were blatantly obvious, but geeky gents still needed it spelled out for them that “Have you put on weight?” is a serious no-no. Also on the list were such charmers as “your skin does not look young anymore” and “my last girlfriend was much nicer.” Clearly, having the attention of a girl like Catherine is a welcome change from women running away the second they started talking. But not too much attention, please! The men in the survey also shared their fears about what they wanted to keep hidden from their Catherine or other female. The highest ranked was, unsurprisingly, what is on your computer. Heaven forbid your girl find your porn, or worse, that you visit Lusipurr.com.  Other fears include knowing the specifications for an ideal woman, as well as habits and bank information.

What, you had another question? The news? Uhm…err…Fox Business Tits
