It’s good to be back!
I tried writing an opening with a more serious tone about my absence, but I did not want the tone of the whole post to be brought down by that. I considered writing the whole post about the “whys” of my absence, but the more I wrote, the less I was actually writing about games. Then I got way off track by talking about The Royal Tenenbaums. Anyway! Almost two months ago, I moved back to Michigan and it took me until just last week to get internet back; that is the most succinct way of explaining my absence.
My funemployment has afforded me the opportunity to get in some good gaming! In compliance with my personal goals to beat more games, I completed a play through of Heavy Rain (OH MY GOD SO GOOD!), and I am definitely going to be writing about that experience in the coming weeks.
I also went against what I originally planned on doing because – GOLLY! – PixelJunk Monsters and PixelJunk Eden Trophies are tough! I will be reviewing that (Shooter) in a week or so as well.Lastly, I’VE CREATED A MONSTER! On my way to collecting more Trophies, I have been playing more Rock Band 2 (25 challenges on Expert done, now to complete instrument specific Impossible Challenges), Peggle Nights, and Buzz! Quiz World. The monster I created is the cutest ever and comes by way of my girlfriend, who has become addicted to Peggle, Buzz!, and is starting to feed her own Trophy addiction. Only time will tell if this ends well; currently all signs point to yes.
I see that all of you have turned to playing Final Fantasy XIII while I have been away, but if you have not been playing, tell me what you’ve been playing and how that is going. If you have, just tell me how things are going. And if you have a job available, tell me that I am hired!

I’ve been playing Resonance of Fate and really loving it to death. its basically the jrpg I’ve been waiting for all generation. I’m about 20 hours in and on chapter 7. The amount of customization is amazing and there just seems like there is so much to do… Oh and Towns FTW!

I’ve stopped playing FFXIII, and am playing GoWIII, then moving on to Yakuza 3 and plan to get Resonance of Fate soon.

I play FFXIII and LBP in the rare instances when I am home, and SNES games (Mother 2 at present) when I am not. This reminds me that, once upon a time, good games were just good. Flash and gaud was neither required nor expected.

Good to have you back!

SNES games remind me that VGM used to be AWESOME!

@Oyashiro: I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
@SiliconNooB: Three games with 3’s tucked in their sequelage numberfication (a real term) is considered lucky in many Eastern philosophies.
@Lusipurr: I need to get back into LBP. I kinda miss it.
@Ethos: Thanks! You smell terrific!

Welcome back!
I’ve been playing Soul Calibur IV (someone please play with me T_T), Final Fantasy II (in japanese to help with the language), and Darksiders which I borrowed from a friend. I’ll be playing Resonance of Fate as soon as I get the chance. FF XIII not so much.

Darksiders is great! Glad they’re turning it into a franchise.
I’ve been playing more Pokémon as opposed to FFXIII, but I’m still hacking away at it. Chapter 12 now.

Glad to see you back! Personally, I don’t know if I could go that long without internet. I think I very well may have melted.
I’ve been playing FFXIII (I’m probably about 2/3 of the way through, maybe? Purely a guess). Also, I started up Yakuza 1 (Old School, bitches!) for when my girlfriend’s hogging the PS3 :F. I’m really liking both, but I hope they fix a lot of Yakuza’s technical shortcomings (the camera, for example) in the second one.

Thanks, darthgibblet! It was rough, but luckily I had my iPhone for which to read my news on.

Seems like alot of people did not like your choice for not downloading Pixeljunk Shooter.

It might look that way, but really the thread became a discussion about beating games before playing other games (in summary).
