Virginia “Wedge” Herrell

Hello, readers of Lusipurr.com. I am Ginia, and I have been condemned to be a weekly contributor in this little slice of Purgatory.  I hope that you will all enjoy reading my articles, although Lusipurr has assured me that I certainly will not enjoy writing them.

I have been instructed to begin my punishment here by writing an introduction to you all. I hope you appreciate it. Each keystroke is like an  acid-coated, white-hot poker in my flesh.

I have always enjoyed gaming, playing with my cousin’s Atari whenever I had  the chance. When I was 12 my mother finally relented and bought me a SNES for Christmas. Excitement abounded! I was immediately drawn to the world of RPGs. My aunt had given me her copy of Zelda: Link to the Past (yes, my family is that cool) and I was hooked. I beat the snot out of Ganon and then moved on to play Illusion of Gaia and the red-headed stepchild of the Final Fantasy family, Mystic Quest.  After that I actually found some good RPGs, usually courtesy of Square, Enix, or Square-Enix.

Along with my previously expressed fangirlism for Squeenix, I do still enjoy other flavours of RPGs.  I cannot list them all for you now, it would be boring for you, and painful for me. Gods, it feels like I’m typing on a barbed wire keyboard.

I currently own a Playstation 3, a Wii, and a decent gaming PC. However, I have spent the past year absorbed in the life-sucking black hole that is World of Warcraft, and therefore I am only now catching up on the great games I have missed. Hopefully you all will enjoy the occasional ever-so-slightly retro review when I cannot think of an Editorial to write.

I am currently playing Final Fantasy XII, The Sims 3, Super Paper Mario, Skies of Arcadia Legends, and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. I am also re-playing Suikoden 1, and Shadow Hearts. Hopefully this gives you an idea as to what kind of games I enjoy and will be writing about.

This is a fantastic introduction. I haven’t laughed this hard since. Well…since I saw Bo Burnham last night, but still. I look forward to reading your articles!

It’s something we all aspire to!
But there is a rigorous MEGAPHONE BEATING test that one has to pass.
    It…destroys the soul…

Forget being a staff member, I just want to sign up for THAT (on the giving or receiving end. I’m not picky)!

Unfortunately you’ll be arrested and imprisoned for stalking long before you reach the gates.

However, in prison you are sure to get a beating of an entirely different kind. So, no worries.

@Lusipurr- Sounds like you need to develop a line of Lusipurr.com novelty megaphones so that readers can administer their own minion beatings in the comfort of their livingrooms.

So when the lusipurr.com store debuts, it will be selling novelty beating microphones and pith helmets, correct?

YES YOU TOO CAN CALL FILL THE VICARIOUS SHOES OF OLIVER AND ETHOS WITH THE LUSIPURR.COM NOVELTY MEGAPHONE (WITH DUNCE HAT ATTATCHMENT), INDULGE THE INNER MASOCHIST IN YOU BY HAVING A SIBLING RAIN MANY SAD BLOWS UPON YOUR NOGGIN OR USE IT TO SCREAM ORDERS AT THOSE AROUND YOU.

@SN: I have it on good authority that he is hard at work on Mario Universe!

@DarthGibblet: I was thinking more like polo shirts with a little megaphone on the breast, and the words LUSIPURR.COM under it.

And maybe a line on the back like “Get the Opinions that Matter — The Sundry Opinions of Lusipurr & Friends!”

I’m not really good at this ‘making profit’ thing. I just think about “what kind of shirt would I wear”. This is probably NOT a good idea when trying to make something for the average joe.

It would seem that the average joe wants to be sorely abused by megaphones (at least on this site).

Perhaps you could release a line of novelty head plasters which read “I’ve been to Castle Lusipurr”.

You could also create a matching line of novelty arm casts which read:

“Lusipurr doesn’t care for my opinion”.

I like the idea of plasters.

    “How did that happen?”

    –”Can’t you read?”

I really like the polo shirt with the megaphone and URL. I don’t know about the line on the back, but I would wear that shirt.
